The Greystone Building, 1306 Broadway, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, was constructed around 1885. It is Richardson Romanesque architecture. The exterior stone came from a quarry in Rocky Top, TN. It was purchased in 1965 by WATE-TV, Channel 6 for the sum of $75K. The building to the right is the carriage house.
