Go VOLS! I painted this from a photo described as Shields Watkins Stadium 1949. I can remember as far back as when the North End was still open to the view of the Hill. It was impressive to look up on the hill and see Ayers Hall atop over-looking the campus and the Tennessee River and adjacent to the engineering campus and buildings.
Things sure have changed through the years.
